Marton House lends itself beautifully to hosting the most special day in your life - your Wedding Day. We can arrange as much or as little as you wish within the ambience of our gracious and extensive grounds.

We are licensed and approved for Civil Marriage Ceremonies by the local authorities, so you can host your wedding ceremony as well as your wedding reception at Marton House if you wish to do so.

The choices at Marton House are vast - we will happily cater for parties of between 6 and 200 people.

Three Beautiful Marquee sites...
We have three idyllic sites within our beautiful garden and woodland grounds to situate a marquee for parties up to 200 guests.

Five Licensed Sites to suit your requirements...
We also have 5 licensed sites (as shown on the right), for a civil marriage ceremony and can accommodate up to 50 guests for a wedding breakfast within the house.

Or for those who want a more intimate celebration....
We are also here for the small and intimate wedding party, maybe you just want your nearest and dearest with you for this special day. We can seat up to 14 guests around our elegant dining room table for a really cosy and relaxed celebration.

Whatever you have in mind we are here to help you plan your day as you wish it to be or to leave you to make you own arrangements.

We also have exceptional Bed and Breakfast facilities here for a small number of guests. If you choose Marton House for your wedding reception or marriage venue please be assured that you will have the whole of Marton House to yourselves for your celebrations - we do not run B&B during weddings, other than for guests of the wedding party.

Civil Ceremonies in Cumbria

As mentioned above, Marton House is licensed for Civil Ceremonies, which means that in addition to weddings, we can host Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony celebrations and also Baby Naming Ceremonies.
